IBC
WHAT IS IBC?
(INTERMEDIATE BULK CARRIER)
A COMPOSITE CONTAINER FOR TRANSPORT BY TRUCK, TRAIN OR SHIP.
Some companies look for it under the name of “bag in box”. Called IBC (Intermediate Bulk Carrier) in English or GRV (Grand Récipient Vrac) in French or Großpackmittel in German, the IBC is a container made of FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) composite, 5 times lighter than steel. It is also ADR (Agreement Dangerous goods by Road) certified. Sobelcomp can customise them by inserting a logo & choosing the desired colour. The IBC can be delivered with a separate colour for the container and the lid. The dimensions have been chosen to store them in a sea container (important for transport by road & rail & sea) and they are stackable for easy return (ecological, sustainable and reusable aspect). CERTIFIED ADR 11H2 : Agreement Dangerous goods by Truck, Train or Ship

- Made from FRP composite (Fibre Reinforced Plastic)
- Material 5 times lighter than steel
- Container and lid fully customisables (insertion of a logo, color, mold modification, etc.)
- Studied for transport in sea container (sealing, electrical, thermal and acoustic insulation)
- Long lifespan.
- Rigid, shockproof, fireproof, corrosion resistant, and chemical agents resistant
- Possibility of add-on features (hinge, traceability, all types inserts, etc.)
STOCKAGE

OPTIMISATION DANS UN CONTAINER DE 6M
- 20 ibcs transported per container : 5 rows of 2 x 2 ibcs
- If the 1st ibc is pushed against the end wall, 30mm clearance with the door.
- Ibcs placed one on top of the other : clearance between ceiling and top cover = 300mm
- Stacking of empty ibcs for return transport : 10 stacks of 6 ibcs = 60 ibcs in a 20 container
- The height of the ibc locators allows the lids to fit together when stacked
